TWO HOUSES DESTROYED
FIRE STARTS IN UNOCCUPIED BUILDING DANNEVIRKE OUTBREAK Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, Today. On New Year’s morning two buildings at Ormondville, a seven-roomed wooden residence, owned by Mrs. David Wilson, in the heart of the township, and an adjoining store, with a five-romed dwelling attached, owned and occupied by Mrs. C. Munro, witn their contents, were destroyed by fire. Mrs. Wilson was holiday-making in New Plymouth, and her house had been unoccupied for nine weeks. The fire started there and nothing was saved. The efforts of a bucket brigade saved a house occupied by Mrs. Groome from destruction.
