Sunshine Again Colour Returns to Eller site

After the most unseasonable weather experienced during the earlier part of the holidays, racegoers at Elierslie were delighted to see the sunshine once more, and to be able to wear the charming attire suitable to the time of year. Coats were carried, but with blue skies flecked with white clouds, they were mostly for emergency use, and many delightful frocks were seen on the lawns, the colourful floral georgettes and chiffons creating a pretty effect against the background of lawns and flowers, which are looking particularly lovely after the recent rains. Some very smart light coats in georgette qf pale shades were seen, these being made with fine accordionplated frills and large sleeves. They were invariably worn with hats of the wide-brimmed type. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Lady Alice Fergusson wore a smart ivory, rose and black patterned crepe de chine frock, furs and a shady black crinoline straw hat.
