NEW SOUTH WALES WINS SYDNEY, Wednesday. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match between Victoria and New South Wales, Victoria in the first innings made 229, and New South Wales 402. In the second innings Victoria made 343 (Scaife 60 not out, Blackie 37). Fairfax took five wickets for 104 runs. New South Wales, in the second innings, when time came, had made 143 for two wickets (Phillips 45, McCabe 50 not out, Fairfax 15, Bradman 26 noi out). New South Wales won by 171 runs on the first innings.
