NEW MINISTER CHOSEN British Official Wireless RUGBY, Tuesday. King George has approved of the appointment of Mr. Richard Roy Maconachie, of the Indian Political Department, to be Euvoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Kabul. The new Minister to Afghanistan was Counsellor of ll, e British Legation at Kabul from 1922 to 19-4. Mr Richard Maconachie was at Tollbridge School and Oxford. He entered the Indian Civil Service m ?909 end was on military service, Isitig He is Political Agent at Kurrain, North-West Frontier. He succeeds Sir Francis Humphreys at Kabul. - ~
