DRUNKEN MAN FINED The somewhat doubtful honour of being No. 1 on the criminal offences list for 1930 in Auckland City falls ! to the lot of James McNalley, from H.M.C.S. Iris. McNalley pleaded : guilty yesterday at the Police Court ito being found drunk in Sturdee Street on New Year’s Eve. He was fined 5s and cab fare, 2s 6d, in default j 24 hours’ imprisonment. “The first of the year,” commented Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., as McNalley . left the dock.
