TWO KILLED IN SMASH
MOTOR-VAN AND CAR COLLIDE EARLY MORNING TRAGEDY Press Association DUNEDIN, Wednesday. A motor collision, which had fatal consequences, took place on the Lower Portobello road at about 5 o'clock this morning between a motor-car and a motor parcels van. Two persons were killed and two injured. Following are the names of the victims: —Killed: David V. Wilkins, driver of the van; David Edwards, a passenger in the motor-car. Injured: James Todd, petrol station proprietor; Donald McNaughton Paterson. The first two were killed instantaneously. Todd and Paterson were taken to the hospital in an unconscious condition, suffering from severe injuries. The other, persons in the vehicles were slightly injured. The collision occurred oil a fairly straight piece of road, which was in good order.
