“SMILING IRISH EYES” AT GRAND
Colleen Moore, the popular star of a score of successful silent pictures and one of the best-known interpreters of light comedy roles, has a part well adapted to her talents in “Smiling Irish Eyes," the splendid all-talking production which is showing at the Grand Theatre. James Hall and Tom O’Brien appear opposite Miss Moore and head a notable cast in support. The theme deals with an Irish colleen and her sweetheart who, by his ability to compose love-songs on his violin, wins recognition in the world of music in Xew York. An unfortunate misunderstanding threatens to wreck the romance, but a number of unexpected incidents ensues and the film ends satisfactorily. Some excellent scenic “shots” of the Killarney district in Ireland have been incorporated in the picture.
