McDonagh were held for arrest this. morning.. Appearing, in. the Police Court they were fined £7 10s each, in default 14 days’ imprisonment. The two accused, who were middle-aged men, pleade£T guilty to stowing away on the Maunganui at ‘ Sydney on December 27. ;; George . Raymond Ashforth, purser of the. Maunganui,. said that the men had successfully concealed themselves until yesterday. The amount of the fare was £7 10s each. Fines were imposed accordingly.
