For these people the Auckland Bus I Company's sight-seeing trips arc waiting. i Huge luxurious buses set out every morning and afternoon for a complete tour of the environs of Auckland, running through all the most interesting parts of the town as well as the suburbs, pleasure resorts, and even out to the native bush. This magnificently-varied trip takes only about three hours. The trails of the A.B.C. limousine buses follow the most picturesque drives. Leaving the Post Office in Queen Street, the route lies up Anzac Avenue and Symonds Street, passing the Law Courts, two old military forts, churches, the famous SO-year-old windmill, Grafton Bridge, with its magnificent views of the islands in the Hauraki Gulf, the Domain and War Memorial Museum, the aristocratic suburb of Remuera, and beautiful Kllerslie Racecourse, where a short stop is made. Then on to historic One Tree Hill, and Onehunga, then the Northern suburbs and up to Titirangi, with its remarkable panorama of land and sea. No stay to Aucklaud is complete without a visit to Titirangi, the Blua Mountains of New Zealand. Front here there are views of both the Waitemata and Manukau harbours, there are walks through the choicest of the city’s native bush reserves among fine kauris and ferns. Here, too, there is beautiful Atkinson Park and what is known as “The Treasure House,” n museum containing a unique collection of kauri gum and early settlers’ curios. The return to the city brings the visitor through the progressive suburbs of Point Chevalier and Grey Lynn, past tbe Zoo and the Western Springs, and back to the city's business centre. The 36-mile drive is without doubt the best and cheapest tourist trip in New Zealand. Tile return fare is but ss. The buses leave (he Post Office daily at 10.30 a.m. and at 2.30 p.m. In addition to these special sightseeing trips the Auckland Bus Company run regular suburban services to New Lynn, Glen Eden, Te Atatu, Titirangi, Henderson, Ferndale and Henderson Valley. These services leave from Sturdee Street (near Ferry Buildings at foot of Queen Street) during week-days and from the Post Office on Sundays and holidays.
