FIRE AT KING’S COLLEGE

DAMAGE IN ONE ROOM Damage by fire took place ii t an outbreak early this morning ac King’s College, in the drawing-room of the headmaster, Canon 11. K. Archdall. Mr. Archdall is absent from the city and the origin of the fire, which was discovered about 4 a.m., is not known. Several pieces of furniture were destroyed and the carpet burned. The Otahuhu Fire Brigade was called and the fire was prevented from spreading.

Other damage in the room was caused by smoke and watei.
