Here every possible attention is given to the selection, mixing and cooking of the fruit—attention which is reflected in the colour and purity of the jam. When it is mentioned that Thompson and Hilis have been making jam for over 35 years, it is no wonder that they have long ago found out the right way to cook it. For years now “Oak” jams have been uniformly cooked, that is, made to perfection. • Oak” Jam is made in a great variety of different kinds, and at present over 0 kinds of fruit are made* into jam, fruit jellies and marmalade. Most people prefer lib or 21b tins, while others like the jars, but it is beyond question that there is more “Oak” Jam sold throughout New Zealand than any other make—sufficient, at any rate, to keep in the season more than 200 people engaged wholly in making jam. And as fruit in any form Is good for the health of the people, this is a real good thing for New Zealand. “Oak” Jam is delicious and a necessity in every home.
