TUNNEY WINS LAWSUIT
WOMAN CLAIMS BREACH OF PROMISE
£IOO,OOO DAMAGES WANTED

Gene Tunney, the ex-champion heavy-weight boxer, won judgment in the suit brought by Mrs. Katherine King Fogarty, for alleged breach of promise.
The action collapsed before hearing
Last May, Mrs. Fogarty, of Stamford, Connecticut, filed notice ot attachment of the recently-purchased home there of Gene Tunney, in connection with her suit for breach of promise to marry. She claimed £IOO,OOO damages. She said Tunney proposed to her in 1926, a week after her divorce from John Fogarty. Mrs. Fogarty has a daughter aged 10.
