Round the Churches
Divine services, morning and evening, will be conducted at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Parnell, by Canon Fancourt, whose subject in the evening will be “The Adventure of Another year.”
“Things Forgotten in the Old Year” will be the subject chosen by the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher at the 11 o’clock morning service at the Beresford Street Congregational Church. * * * The Rt. Rev. Bishop Anderson will be the preacher at the 11 o’clock morning service at St. Matthew’s Church, Wellesley Street, and in the evening the preacher will be Canon Grant Cowen.
“Emmanuel —God With Us,” will be the subject chosen by Mrs. E. E. Lewin at the morning service of the Auckland Higher Thought Temple and in
the evening Mr. IT. F. Robinson will preach
Divine services, morning and evening, will be conducted at both the Edendale Presbyterian Church, Balmoral Road, and the Somervell Memorial Church, Remuera. The Rev. A. S. Wilson will be the preacher at the morning and evening services of the Grange Road Baptist Church. “The Romance of the Road - ’ is the topic to be treated by the Rev. R. C. Roberts at the morning service of the Mount Eden Congregational Church. * * * Morning and evening services will be conducted by the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport. * * * Mr. H. Archer will be the speaker at the meeting of the International Bible Students’ Association. * v * The services at St. John’s Church, Ponsonby Road, will be conducted by the Rev. G. T. Marshall in the morning, and in the evening by ActingPastor Hindmarsh. * * * Special New Year services will be conducted at the Pitt Street Methodist
Church, when the preacher will be the Rev. W. Walker. * • • The First Church of Christ, Scientist, will conduct morning and evening services at the Church Hall, Symonds Street. Mr. H. Fitton will speak at the evening service of the Progressive Church of Spiritualists, Newmarket. A fellowship service will be conducted in the morning by the Christadelphians at the Freemasons' Hall, Belgium Street. The eleven o’clock morning service of the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted by the Rev. E. C. Horweed. The Spiritual Scientists' Church will I hold afternoon and evening meetings | tomorrow.
