FOREIGN COMMISSAR
TCHITCHERIN ASKS SOVIET TO RELIEVE HIM ILL IN GERMANY Reed. 10.20 a.m. BERLIN, Thursday. M. George Tchitcherin will return to Moscow early in January, to urge the acceptance of his resignation as the Soviet Foreign Commissar. M. Tchitcherin, who has been under treatment for diabetes at Wiesbaden over a year, has been unable to take an active part in foreign affairs, and asked to be relieved some time ago. It is believed here that the Soviet will accept his resignation as a result of the forthcoming journey, which was permitted by physicians only after a thorough examination of their patient.
