CRASHED IN FLAMES
MOTH PLANE OCCUPANTS ESCAPE NARROWLY A DIFFICULT RESCUE SYDNEY, Thursday. A Gipsy Moth airplane was taking off in a choppy wind from Urunga golf links today when it crashed and was burned. The owner-pilot, Mr. Menzies; and a friend, who was a passenger, Mr. Walters, had narrow escapes. Mr. Menzies freed himself from the wreckage, but Mr. Walters was only rescued with difficulty, as the splashing petrol from the tank caught Are and burned fiercely.
Both men suffered slight burns,
