MATE IN HOSPITAL

CYCLIST CHARGED WITH INTOXICATION ARREST AFTER ACCIDENT Following an accident in Mount St. John Avenue yesterday, John Franklin Bradley was arrested, and his companion, who is understood to have been, riding on the pillion seat of a motor-cycle, was taken to hospital, where he still lies unconscious. Bradley, a sheet-metal worker, aged 19, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the. Police Court this morning, and was charged with being intoxicated in charge of a motorcycle. It was-the opinion of Sub-Inspector McCarthy that both young men were intoxicated. Accused’s companion had been thrown heavily to the ground and was still unconscious. It would not be fair to the accused to go on with the case until the injured man recovered, so a week's remand was suggested. “He should he all right by then,” added the sub-inspec-tor. Bail was allowed in one surety of £lO. .
