Then running past the Five-fur long post Gemhght was knocks back from third to last in less tha half a furlong, and on the way I! stopped Flying Prince. Prince Va' at this stage was making a f*trun round the field, and at the half' mile was lying second. Little won. der that he petered out in th„ straight. To cap all. the stewards were apparently not satisfied vvith Pcgaway's (H. Gray'' performance when he finished fifth, and announced that an inquiry would be held at Ellerslie on Monday morning.
