AFGHAN RICHES IN BAZAAR AT PESHAWAR CARPETS CUT IN PIECES Reed. 11 a.m. DELHI, Wednesday. Crown jewels, bracelets and other ornaments w-orth thousands, once the property of Souriya, the ex-Queen of Afghanistan, are being offered for sale in the Peshawar bazaar. Valuable carpets from Amanullah’s palace, cut in sections by looters, were sold for small sums.
