BROADSIDES TONIGHT

WESTERN SPRINGS RACES FIFTEEN EVENTS ARRANGED Cinders will fly again at the Western Springs Stadium this evening, when stars from across the Tasman will be seen in thrilling speed contests with the fastest of Auckland’s racing motor-cyclists. The two Australians. Les Lawrenee and Billy Sticpewich, will again appear, and anticipate making fast times. Their machines were not going at their best at the last meeting, but it is hoped to have all in order for tonight’s broadsiding. Among the Auckland speedsters -will be W. Herbert, Alf Mattson and W. Allen, who will probably ride from the three-seconds mark. This trio has gained experience rapidly since the opening of the track at Western Springs, and will soon be on a par with the champions from overseas. Other Aucklanders will be Ben . Bray. J. Copping. A. Way. Tim Bell. R.'Keeling, Percy Fletcher and H. Bingley. There will be 15 races and an attack on the track record.

A motor-cycle paced cycle event will be staged on the concrete track,* which is banked to hold speeds up to 70 m.p.h. ~
