NEW WELLINGTON TUNNEL
M\YOR SWINGS FIRST PICK £133,000 CONTRACT Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The Mayor of Wellington, Mr. G. A. Troup, yesterday swung the first pick for the actual tunnel work in Mount Victoria. The tunnel, when completed, will give a.ccess to Mirimar, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, ect. The contract price is £133,000. It will be 2,045 feet long, with an inside breadth of 29 feet.
