TE AWAMUTU WEDDING OF INTEREST

TV/O MAIDS IN BLUE BEASON—SAUNDERS At St. John's Anglican Church, Te Awamutu, recently, the wedding took place of Hinemoa Annie, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Saunders, Alfridton, to Douglas Russell, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Beason, of Port Charles. Coromandel. The Rev. S. R. Wareing was the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F. L. Dunn, of Te Awamutu, looked charming in a frock of navy crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace, with a veil of hand-worked lace held in place with orange blossoms. She carried a pretty shower bouquet of white roses, carnations and sweet peas. Xn attendance were her two sisters, Miss Daphne and Miss Hester launders, of Masterton, both being frocked ,n azure blue mariette trimmed with satin, with blue lace hats. They carried bouquets of pink roses, sweet Peas and larkspur, and blue delphiniums and yellow roses respectively. Gittle Miss Betty Dunn, of Te Awaniutu, a cousin of the bride, was in attendance as flower girl, daintily crocked in salmon pink georgette, trimmed with forget-me-nots. Her hat had similar trimming, and she carried a basket of pink roses. Mr. £rank Saunders, of Martinborough, brother of the bride, acted as best jjan, and Mr. Cyril Judd, of Mauricehle, was groomsman. Miss S. Empson presided at the organ, the service oemg choral. At the conclusion of the ceremony p and Mrs. Dunn were host and hostess at a reception at the Central earooms, Mrs. Dunn receiving the guests in a beige georgette and lace r ° c k» with hat to tone.
