THE ACCEPTANCES

The closing of the acceptances for the Auckland Racing Club reveals that the result is as in the past: the very best horses of the Dominion will once again b© found in opposition at Ellerslie.

There is a splendid field engaged in the big handicap, the Auckland Cup, and this should prove to be a sterling race, with the richest prize on offer

in the Bominion for the fortunate owner of the winning horse. The chief sprint, the Railway Handicap, has also drawn the cream of the sprinters, and this event is going to take some picking. All the other races, including the classics, have filled very well, promising the best in the way of turf contests at Ellerslie on Becember 26 CBoxing Bay), 30, January 1 and 2.
