“TRASHY LITERATURE”

TWO YOUNG SANDBAGGERS ADMIT CRIME WANTED TO GET MONEY Press Association WANGANUI, Today. Two youthful sandbaggers were before the Children’s Court this morning. They admitted the theft of a quant-ty of brass, a number of plates, locks, etc., and also sandbagging two residents. They said it was their intention to get money, but they were not successful.

They had been reading trashy literature relating to crimes and the detection thereof. The magistrate, tvlr. J. H. Salmon, placed them under the care of the welfare officer for three years, and ordered that they were not to be out later than eight o’clock, and that the literature they read was to be controlled.
