SMOKING ALLOWED
CIVIC THEATRE FOYER s i Patrons of the Civic Theatre will a be able to smoke in the foyer of the f new building. Permission was granted by the City a Council last evening on the recommen- v elation of the Acting-City Engineer, Mr. g J. Tyler. He reported that the by-laws s prohibited smoking in public buildings, but permission had been granted to ,the s proprietors of the St. James Theatre y for smoking in the foyer on each floor, £ proper sand-filled receptacles for the f depositing of butts being provided. The £ engineer therefore recommended the ■ c extension of the privilege to the foyer ; A. and enarance vestibule of the Civic.
