ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Pa pa k lira Orphans’ Club held its I ; nnual meeting last evening in the i paragon Tlu itre. Tin* president. Bro. W. K. Francis, presided over a. moderate attendance. Tliti treasurer. Dro. G. C. Hobson. •! said that the club’s finances were good, there being a credit balance of £47. ! The secretary, Bro. S. L. Henderson, j reported a verv successful season, and } a record membership, which stood at about 150 members. It was decided to hold ton meetings j next season instead of i - as last season, j with one ‘'ladies’ evening* 1 included. Tho following officers were elected:— j President. Bro. IV. K. Francis; vicepresidents. Bros. J B. Page, G. C. Hobson. S. L>. Rice, J. Murray. S. L. Anderson and G. AW Heald; chief steward, Bro. W. B. Eiiiott; lion, treasurer, Bro. G. C. liobson; hon. secretary, Bro. S. 1.. Anderson; assistant secretary, Bro. G. Wilson; programme steward, Bro. W. K. Francis; conductor. Bro. T. Walker: pianist, Bro. L. Hopper; I executive, Bros. J. B. Page. G. C. Hob- < sun, S. 1). Rice, J. Murray, G. W. Heald, I £>. L. Anderson, H. A. Walkinshaw, B. Johnson and G. Wilson.
