CITY PARK AREA

THREE ACRES IN GULLY The City Council last evening approved a recommendation from its Parks Committee suggesting the acquisition of three acres 38 perches of private land on the eastern side of Grafton Gully for the purposes of a public park. Preliminary inquiries were made as a result of a notice of motion by Cr. H. P. Burton. The area, comprising seven lots of property, varies in width from one to two and a-half chains. A fine growth, mainly New Zealand flora, exists on the land.
