LATE BISHOP PRAISED
The City Council’s regret at the death of the Rt. Rev. Dr. H. W. Cleary, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, was expressed in a resolution last evening. The Mayor, Air. G. Baildon, said the late Bishop was held in the highest reverence by all sections. The council also recorded appreciation of the ability and the distinction shown in Bishop Cleary’s service.
