FAREWELL VISIT
WESTMINSTER GLEE SINGERS Commencing on Boxing Night the ever popular Westminster Glee Singers will make their farewell appearance in a series of concerts in the Town Hall concert chamber. For this brief season Mr. Branscombe has prepared an entirely new set of programmes which are being presented for the first time in New Zealand. The three latest additions to the company, Masters Harold Robinson and James Humphreys and Mr. Alfred Cunningham, will make their first appearance. The latter, who is recognised os England’s greatest baritone, will be heard in favourite numbers which he has recently presented in London. The boy soprano soloists will also be heard in charming solo numbers and Messrs. Ernest McKinlay, Charles O’Connor. Albert Greene and Charles Draper and James Barber will contribute gems from their repertoire. Appropriate numbers suitable to the festive season will be included in the programmes, including Christmas carols, humorous quartets and sea chanteys. -V special matinee will be given on Thursday, January 2. and the box plans for the season are advertised.
