PAPATOETOE MASONIC LODGE

INSTALLATION CEREMONY Masons were present from every lodge in the Auckland district at the installation of Bro. Walter William Massey, as Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge, Papatoetoe, No. 227. The ceremony was held in the Papatoetoe Town Hall, which had been lavishly decorated for the occasion on Tuesday evening. The installing officer was M. Wor. Bro. O. Nicholson, P.G.M., Prov. G.M. The duties of director of ceremonies were carried out by V. Wor. Bro. W. C. Finnis. G.D. of C.: presenting officers were Wor. Bro. J. N. Massey, P.M., Lodge Franklin, and Wor. Bro. Iv. N. H. Browne, W.M., Lodge Manukau. At the conclusion of the installation ceremony, the Worshipful Master carried out the investiture of the following officers for 1929-30: 1.P.M., Wor. Bro. IF. S. Thomas: D.M., Wor. Bro. H. G. C. Ernest: S.W., Bro. G. Foster; J.W., Bro. D. Penman; chaplain, Bro, E. .T. Franks; treasurer, Bro. W. Drake; secretary, Bro. E. D. Wilkinson; D. of C., Wor. Bro. D. E. Connell; S.D., Bro. P. Edmond; J.D., Bro. .T. Melling: 1.G., Bro. G. P. Pennell: S. Steward, Bro. H. Fricker; .T.S., Bro. A, B. Jameson: A.S., Bros. W. Pedlar and G. Owen; tyler, Bro. D. Calder. Musical items were contributed by Bro. Claude Suisted. Wor. Bro. Capt. Gibbons, Wor. Bro. Gillespie and Bro. Lambert ITarvey.
