Walsh, the well-known Auckland aviation pioneer, who is a patient in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, is reported to be improving. Mr. J. Williams was yesterday adv itted as a barrister and solicitor o£ the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Smith, on the motion of Mr. A. H. Johnstone. The Reverend Canon Kemptliorne, Vicar of Te Kuiti. has been appointed to the position of assistant-curate to f i.a parish F ding. Canon Kempthorne begins his new duties in Janeary. Mr. W. G.
