ERECTION OF ISOLATION BLOCK SUPERVISOR APPOINTED The urgent necessity of appointing a supervisor in connection with the erection of the isolation block and the maids’ quarters at the Auckland Hospital was stressed in a report to the board from the Building Committee yesterday afternoon. It was explained that as Messrs. Brown and Kirk were no longer acting as architects to the board, a supervisor should he appointed to see the present works carried out. The committee stated that the board’s solicitor, Mr. Cocker, had explained the legal position, and the committee was satisfied that a registered architect should be appointed to the position. The recommendation that Mr. John Farrell be appointed to supervise the two works now under way was i -'pted.
