CURE FOR MAMMITIS

A WAIKATO REMEDY An alleged sure cure for mammitis was given to the Auckland Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union last evening by Mr. R. D. Luxfield, the well-known Waiks.to Shorthorn breeder. Evidence had been given by several speakers relative to the spread of this disease among dairy cattle. Mr. Duxfield stated that a drench made up of one tablespoon of saltpetre and two tablespoons of hyper sulphate of soda had been found most effective. He had had good results with the mixture in his herd.
