Coates, who has been spending the last few days in Hawke’s Bay, presented the prizes last evening at Woodford House School. With two of her daughters she will return to Auckland on Friday on her way to Dargaville. =* * * Miss Betty Matthews, of “Glen Lee,” Otorohanga, who has been visiting Auckland as the guest of Mrs. V. R. Meredith, Dilworth Avenue, Remuera, has returned to Otorohanga for a few days. Miss Matthews leaves again next Monday for Auckland. ENGAGEMENTS The engagement is announced of Gladys May, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bell, of Mount Eden, to Gordon Henry, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Hendry Luke, of Mount Roskill. * * * The engagement is announced of Gladys Aileen, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Watts, of Roslyn Terrace, Mount Albert, to Hector Leslie, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Parker, of Waipukurau, Hawke’s Bay. * * * The engagement is announced of Iris Rebe, only daughter of Mr. W.
