PRICES EASIER Prices all round at the hide and skill auctions conducted under the auspices of the Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association yesterday were easier, compared with those at the previous sale. The bidding was slack and prices ranged as follows: Cow hides, light and medium, sid to Gd a lb; heavy, 5d to 53d; cut, 4£d to sd; faulty, 33d to 4d; ox hides, light, sid to 6d; medium and heavy, Gd to 63d; second quality, 4id to s£d; cut, 5d to s|d; kips, best grade, 6£d to 7d; seconds, sid to Gd; yearlings, best grade, 8d to 9d: seconds, Gd to 7d; calfskins, heavy, 91b to 101 b weights, 9d to 9sd; best light, to Is; best medium. Is to Is Old; light and medium, cut, 9d to lOd; slippy, B£d to 9d.
