Mr. Spragg was - driving alone toward Eltham and after , climbing a steep hill stopped to lill the = petrol tank at the rear. 2 Coming round again to the front of the car he found that flames w*re " springing up under the bonnet. He tried to get the chemical fire extinguisher from the car. but was burned * on the face and hands and had to drat. ' j back and watch the flames destroy :ha vehicle.
