Over £GO was realised as a result of the recent sports meeting and gala arranged by the Hamilton Dental Clinic Committee to raise funds for a second dental clinic on the Han>ilton East side of the river. Another £3O will be required if a building and plant is to be erected by March, when nurses will be available. * * * For the last nine years a popular member of the Hamilton Police Force, Constable David Sutton, was farewelled by his colleagues on Saturday beforojeaving on transfer to Te Aroha. On behalf of local police. Inspector W. Eccles presented Mr. Sutton with a barometer. • * * Accommodation for 200 children will be provided at the Waikato children’s camp at Port Waikato this year. Builders are completing the diningroom and kitchen on the site and a full shipment of happy children is expected to be dispatched for their annual holiday early in the New Year. • * * Situated in a natural beauty spot below' the traffic bridge and five minutes from the business centre of the town. Hamilton’s motor camp is one of the best in the province. There are safe facilities for river bathing, while many improvements have been effected during the off-season. Mr. R. E. Champtaloup, touring officer of the Auckland Automobile Association, inspected the camp during the week-end and expressed the opinion that it was firstclass and would be widely patronised during the holidays.
