TIRI TENNIS PARTY
OPENING FUNCTION AT DEVONPORT
Delightful surroundings, glorious weather and well-laid out courts made the opening of Mrs. J. Baxter’s “Tiri tennis party,” on the lawns of the Takapuna Jockey Club's racecourse a very enjoyable function. The club anticipates a very high standard of play this season.
Mrs. Baxter, the president, presented the trophies won in competition last season to Rona Dale, senior champion; and to Miss Pat Wynyard, junior champion; and in a happy little speech declared the season open.
