Delightful Dance “At Doune”
Bright Remuera Party MRS. ROBERT BURNS ENTERTAINS Summer flowers, in fragrant profusion, transformed the reception rooms of “Douine,” Remuera, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burns, last evening, when, a large number of guests were entertained at a delightful dance for Miss fSlancye Colbeck, whose wedding will be celebrated tomorrow, and Miss Elizabeth Burns. The drawing-room was done with gladioli and Christmas lilies, and the dance and supper rooms with sweet peas, Christmas lilies and vivid blue delphiniums. Mrs Burns chose a draped gown of brocaded metal cloth and Miss Elizabeth Burns wore phlox pink satin bea/ute with side draping and train. Miss Colbeck’s frock was of gold net worn over gold tissue. Among the guests were:—Mrs. W. Colbeck, Mrs. Lawford, Mrs. Louisson, Mrs. IT. E. Vaile, Mrs. John Russell, Mrs. Lawrence Ludbrook, Miss Rosemary Waller, Miss L. 'Waller, Miss Riddiford, Wellington, Miss Bloomfield, Miss Rutherford. Christchurch, Miss Adine Acton Adams, Dunedin, Mrs. Mervyn R.eed, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Grey Colbeck, Mrs. Lillian Geddis, Mrs McKail Geddis, Mrs. Trevor Kissling. Mrs. Trevor Davis, Miss C. Russell, Miss Mappin, Miss Horton, Miss Jean Lawford, Mrs. Lintott. Miss Dolly Vaile, Miss Anderson, Miss Didsbury, Miss Jocelyn Nathan, Mrs. Macmillan Bull, Mrs. Murray Benjamin, Mrs. Douglas Mill, Miss Phyllis Acton Adams, Kaikoura, Mrs. Baker Cresswell, Miss Jean McCormick and Miss Mary Wilson.
