PRESENTATION TO CONSTABLE

The presentation of a barometer was made by Inspector W. Eccles, on behalf of the Hamilton police, to Constable D. H. Sutton, who left Hamilton on Saturday on transfer to Te Aroha.

Inspector Eccles said that during the nine years Constable Sutton had served in Hamilton he had proved himself an efficient, conscientious and popular officer, and had won the esteem of his comrades and of the public. De-tective-Sergeant J. Thompson and Constables H. M. Kirby and J. Neil also paid tribute to Constable Sutton's ability.
