DRASTIC POLICE ACTION
WEST END UNDERWORLD CLEAN-UP LONDON, Sunday. The “Daily Telegraph” says It understands that as a result of the revelations in the case concerning exSergeant Goddard, of the London police, the Home Office and the authorities at Scotland Yard are taking drastic action against the West End underworld. A list has been compiled of all the promoters and managers of undesirable night clubs, gaming houses and other haunts of lawlessness. It includes many aliens, some of whom have already left the country. The remainder will shortly be deported.
