LOBBYISTS’ OPINION IN BRITAIN CRISIS OVER COAL BILL Reed. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Sun. Though the political situation contains possibilities of dramatic developments, lobbyists generally agree that neither the Liberals nor the Conservatives intend to carry their opposition to the Coal Bill to the length of defeating the Government and forcing an election which nobody wants. The Conservatives cannot support the Liberal rejection motion, as it is expected that its terms will not be acceptable to them. The Government Whip sent out an S.O.S. demanding the attendance of every Labour member on Thursday, when the critical division will be taken.
