KNOCK FOR CRIMINALS
“CONSORTING” CLAUSE OF CRIMES ACT SEVERAL SYDNEY ARRESTS SYDNEY, Sunday. The cx-iminal gangs in Sydney are feeling the effect of the introduction of the “consorting” clause in the Crimes Act. Several arrests have already been made, which will be the subject of test cases next week. The police state that known criminals will have full opportunity to leave New South Wales in the next month or two. A number of criminals have not waited for hints. They did not stand upon the order of their going, as soon as they learned that the consorting clause was in operation. The authorities believe that this will reduce gang warfare and promiscuous shootings and slashings.
