ST. JAMES

JIM GERALD'S REVUE Jim Gerald and his merry band of entertainers in their second last Auckland programme of fun and frolic, drew a delighted and large audience at the St. James Theatre on Saturday evening. They will continue at the St. James until Christmas Eve, and on Boxing Day the theatre will open as a talkie house. •Versatile brightness and originality mark all the items by Jim Gerald’s company, as demonstrated by their present show which is partly an oldtime “Nigger Minstrels” together with aH hilarious sketch, “A Millionaire for a Night.” The company includes a well-trained ballet, and a number of really engaging singers and dancers, of which the most outstanding are Linda Foy, Essie Jennings, Letty Cray don, Joan Graham, Mercia Elliott, Lily Coburn, Reg Hawthorne, Dan Weldon and Ronnis Shand.
