motor cycle smash near HAWERA GIRL BADLY INJURED Prrss Association HAWERA, Today. As the result of a motor-cycle collision on the main highway about one and a-half miles north of Hawera at midnight on Sunday, Hugh Herbert Hill, aged about 112. a single man, was killed. Dorothy Cross, single, aged about 20, who was a pillion passenger on Hill's machine, suffered a fractured skull, 11 w and leu. Russell Alexander Hurley, aged 22. who was riding solo on the , ther cycle involved, suffered head injuries and a fractured leg. The condition of Miss Cross, whose heme is at Eltham. is regarded as serious. Hill was employed In a motor-cycle depot at Hawera. His mother lives at Motueka.
