TOWN PLANNING MEETING

SOUTH TARANAKI INDIFFERENT TWO COME TO HEAR LECTURE From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. Invitations sent to 15 local bodies in the South Taranaki district to attend a meeting to discuss town planning and to hear an address by Mr. J. W. Mawson, director of town planning;, resulted in two representatives of the Patea Borough Council and two pressmen presenting themselves at the appointed hour. After half-an-hour’s waiting for an audience, which did not arrive, the two Patea members, not wishing to return without any information, asked Mr. Mawson to address them, which he did. One apology for absence was received.
