KOWHAI HIGH SCHOOL
ANNUAL PARENT’S DAY The Kowhai Junior High School will hold its annual Parents’ Day at the school. Kingsland, next Wednesday, when the work of the pupils will be on view. In the afternoon pupils will give a programme of folk dancing, drill, eurhythmies and marching. An honours board which has been made by boys of the wood-working department and which bears the names of past and present pupils who have won scholarships and other distinctions since the inception of the school in 1922 will be unveiled by Mr. E. W. Wilson, late secretary of the School Committee, at 2.45 p.m. Mr. L. E. Rhodes. Mayor of Mount Albert, and Mr. E. H. Potter, Mayor of Mount Eden, will speak. From 12 to 1 o’clock an opportunity will be given those who cannot attend at any other time. This has been arranged by the principal, Mr. R. E. Rudman, in an endeavour to meet the complaints that while mothers could attend and inspect there was no suitable hour for fathers.
