GIFTS DISTRIBUTED

HOSPITAL AUXILIARY WORK The Mount Eden branch of the Hospital Auxiliary distributed its Christmas gifts at the hospital on Thursday afternoon. Much pleasure was afforded the givers, especially when a group of children busy at their lessons in the schoolroom were allowed to stop work and receive their presents. Bright-col-oured bon-bons were soon divested of their outer coverings, and everyone was busy. The thanks of the branch were due especially to Mesdames Lange, Whitehead and Sheldon, and Misses Watt (2) and Van Osselaer, for making up parcels.
