“CONCOCTED LIE"
MR. THEODORE REPLIES TO CHARGE £IO,OOO BRIBE ALLEGED Reed, noon CANBERRA. Today. The Federal Treasurer, Mr. E. G Theodore, replied in the House of Representatives to charges made by Senator Reid, that he accepted £IO,OOO from the Queensland liquor interests. In the course of his remarks, he said there was no truth whatsoever in the charge. It was a concocted lie, and part of a widespread campaign of calumny against him.
