POPULAR PRESIDENT RESIGNS From Our Own Correspondent OPOTIKI, Today. The resignation of the president, the Rev. J. E. Draper, was received at the monthly meeting of the executive of the Opotiki Returned Soldiers* Association. Mr. Draper has been appointed vicar of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Auckland. Mr. Draper said he relinquished the ofßce of president with no small regret as the interests of returned men had ever been his.. Mr. P. R. Burton vice-president, on behalf of the executive said Mr. Draper had carried things along and had been ever ready to advance iheir cause. He had proved himself a man’s man. He congratulated Mr. Draper on receiving such well-deserved promotion and wished him every success for the future.
