TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Tauranga Borough Council met on Wednesday evening. The Tauranga Theatre Company was granted permission to show pictures on Christmas evening, the programme to be approved of by the Mayor. Consumers of water outside the borough are to be prohibited from using hoses for garden purposes except by special permission. The county council is to be asked to have the portion of Cameron Road from the borough boundary to the hospital bituminised. This will complete the bituminised road through the town to the hospital. The Endowment Committee recommended that the section adjoining the fire brigade station be offered to the fire board for £2OO. The report was adopted.
